Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H & Ivy bridge i5 - 3570k compatibility

Hi guys, I want to put my new ivy bridge i5 in my new Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H. Is the Z77 mobo already ready to just start running with an ivy bridge?

Cause i know the Z68 boards need a bios update before they can. Just want to make sure the Z77 should be able to use the i5 without a problem?

Also, will G.Skill 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX work in the board too?

Thanks!!

No problem with CPU, ideal board for it.

Some Ripjaws compatible, some not. You need FULL model number to check. On Gigabyte's website, in the tech specs, for each board, there's a link to download a full list of all compatible memories, for particular board.

If you have problems getting that, post mem model no. here, and someone can confirm.

PS Should be no bios issue. Board designed for IvyBridge, although will run SandyBridge as well.
