Underlined Words

Recently I am getting numerous words underlined when using the internet, and when I hover over them they show an ad. How can I resolve this?

What operating system are you using?.

What browser are you using?.

Are you running any mal-ware programs?.

Using Windows XP and Firefox. Using AVG Anti Virus. Not sure what the mal-ware programs are?

This sounds like a standard way that ads are fed thru on websites. I stopped them years ago by installing ad blocking software.

To block them: Firefox, get AdBlockPlus addin, subscribe to a list (I have Fanboy), then add /skimlinks.js as a Custom filter.
