If D:\ is also NTFS you could store the C:\ drive Image on that if created by Acronis, though a External drive would would make a good External Safety Drive to have a Image on. or after creating the Image on D:\ put the drive in a External rive Caddy then fit new faster drive and reload Image to new drive by booting External USB drive and computer with Acronis CD in Drive and use it to restore the Image to new drive

You could also stop programs starting when you start the computer, the ones that run in the background and do not need to.

Go to Start Run then type in the box MSCONFIG press enter then go to Start Tab uncheck (remove tick) Programs from those not needed at start. This does not remove programs and they can be restored at any time

Cool will try that aswell I have looked through it before but didn't want to stop any programs that I did not know what they were or what they were for, is there anything else I could move over to the D:drive to free up more space on C:

FM is a very CPU-intensive game so I think the most beneficial thing that you could upgrade would be your CPU to a i5 2500 (or 2500K), and then with the remaining money buy a SSD drive of at least 128GB and load Windows and FM onto that.

Also, apparently there's a setting somewhere in the game called 'Threading' which when enabled allows the game to utilise the extra cores / threads of your processor.
