compatibility issues with Sony vaio and Itunes

Hi, still could not solve issue of compatibility with Sony vaio and itunes. I am unable to use itunes for my ipad. please let me know if there is a specific file to download

There shouldn't be any problems of compatibility with a Sony Vaio and iTunes. What is the OS of the Sony?

Theoretically when you attach the iPad , its drivers should load on to the PC (they do with iPod touch)Also see here:

Is it itunes 32bit or 64bit?

The OS is windows 7 home. It keeps hanging and refuses to import songs etc. I read somewhere that there was an issue with Sony Vaio. My notebook is quite old bought in Taiwan 2 to 3 yrs back

Hi Chronus I think it is 64 bit. Will check and get back. Should I reinstall the latest one? I have activated my new iPad 3 without iTunes.

You will need to install whatever version matches your OS 32 or 64 bit.

Again you do not say whether your Windows 7 is 32 or 64BIT? Before trying to install itunes again make sure any old bit of it are remove. Have a look here. Apple support.

64 bit. Also the new update is in place. Will try again.
