TalkTalk Phone customer - check your bill!

A lot of customers who use TalkTalk as their phone provider are finding extra charges on their latest bill for CLI Recall (apparently for using the "3" redial function after 1471) The number of charges seem to relate to the number of times you may have used the 1471 facility in early June.

There does not appear to be any problem in getting this refunded from TT (I used the normal helpline and the extra charge was removed immediately and without question) but even with several threads running on their forum regarding this issue TalkTalk are being very reticent with an explanation as to just what happened and how it could have happened.

Presumably it is unlikely to happen if I have never used the 1471 facility - but I shall check nevertheless.
