Anyone else on Talk Talk experiencing slow emails? Mine are taking upwards of two hours to get through and this is often a prelude to a wipeout!

I'm wrong. An email client is an email 'agent' such as WLM. Just googled it.

If I may jump in again, I have only had one email address for donkeys years and it reads *@talktalk.net
Now if I want to open a Gmail account can I still use my unique * start to my address with Gmail tail or do I have to have a completely different one.
I wouldn't have given it a second thought but for your discussions which I have been following avidly.

Muergo, yes you can if someone else on Gmail hasn't already taken it.
Be aware about the fullstop/period/dot ClickHere
Gmail doesn't recognize dots as characters within usernames, you can add or remove the dots from a Gmail address without changing the actual destination address; they'll all go to your inbox, and only yours. In short:
homerjsimpson@gmail.com = hom.er.j.sim.ps.on@gmail.com | homerjsimpson@gmail.com = HOMERJSIMPSON@gmail.com | homerjsimpson@gmail.com = Homer.J.Simpson@gmail.com
All these addresses belong to the same person. You can see this if you try to sign in with your username, but adding or removing a dot from it. You'll still go to your account.
rdave, you beat me to it with makeuseof link, so I've put the gmail one in. I shall now retire for the day or will get nothing else done ;-)
