second hard drive not seen

Hello, me again. My second HDD used as a back up has failed so I replaced it but cannot see the replacement in my comp.

Assign it a letter in computer management, Add a drive letter.

Thanks, manager says disk 0 298.09 unallocated, disk 1 298.09 healthy. This does not seem right to me as disks are different sizes. Cant see how to allocate a drive letter.
