wireless internet vista laptop dropping

my niece has a acer aspire 7735z,since they got upgraded from virgin 30gb broadband to 60gb broadband,all other wireless devices are working fine,but her laptop keeps dropping the connection and then reconnecting,we checked her atheros adapter for updates,but it says it has the latest update,i cant think what could be wrong,any ideas anyone? ps ive tried to post this several times,if there are multiple posts i apoligise in advance.

In device manager right click the wireless card and select properties.

power tab - make sure the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device" is unticked.
