How about a few details because guessing can be iffy. Are you using Windows 7 or Vista if you are you will have IE 9 if your are using XP then it will be IE 8.

For IE 8 Click here.

For IE 9 Right click the Tab bar at the right of the tabs at the top of the browser and put a tick in menu bar. Then you can click on favorites on left,then add to favorites.

Or, in IE9, with site you want open, click on the star in the top right, if the favourites tab is in use, there is a "add to favourites" tab just above the tabs.Press it and it saves the website.
