HP Pavilion Slimline running Vista Home Premium has started turning itself off over the last few days. I replaced the power unit on it a couple of years ago could this be a sign of it going again? Many thanks, Peter.

Check that it's not overheating. You could run something like SpeedFan or Core Temp. If CPU running hot then open the case and clean out dust/fluff. Use usual precautions.

If you have not cleaned inside since replacing the power supply maybe it is time to do so.Amazing how much dust and fluff accumulates in that time.
Check device manager to see if any yellow exclamation marks.Could be your ram needing reseated.
