Dell disks

I have been given a Dell operating system disk that has never been installed. Will it install on a non-Dell machine?

If it is the full system and not a restore, and you have the COA number, there should be no problem (but with microsoft you never know!).

Thanks otl. The COA could be an issue... I had heard that manufacturer-specific operating systems don't require a COA, which seems strange but...

No, Dell ones certainly have a OEM COA on their cases.
