View as Slideshow missing

I have a folder with a number of photos in,Windows 7 64bit,the option of "View as Slideshow" is not there.Help please.

Fairly certain that it is only available in the pictures library.

Try this - right-click on a picture, then click on Preview, then click on Slide show button in Center of view controls.

I moved the folder of photos into My Pictures and I could then play as slide show, as stated above. I then moved the folder back onto my desktop where it was before so as to try Nonteks Idea,when I opened the folder low and behold Play as Slideshow was now there.
