SNIPPING TOOL WILL NOT OPEN

Hi all, i am trying to open the snipping tool in wndows 7 but i get the following error

the operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.

any ideas would be much appreciated

Have you tried right clicking it and choose run as a administrator.

It's not a feature that's been left out of W7 Home Basic is it? There seems to be some confusion out there - but plenty of coverage if you Google the problem.

Check that Tablet PC Components box is ticked, Control panel-> Programs and Features-> Turn Windows Features ON or OFF-> and scroll down a bit.
