Am a bit puzzled how you are able to try the solutions (apart from Fruit Bat /\0/\'s) if all you have is black screen...?

Ok didn't read correctly myself either.

If its OK in safe mode and no go in normal then its the graphics driver that is at fault.

Drivers are here

download to another PC and put on memory stick

In safe mode uninstall the driver for the graphics

reboot into normal mode

windows should find new hardware and reinstall the driver

if screen again goes blank the rebbot to safemode uninstall

reboot this time do not let windows install the driver directly but point it toward the driver on the memory stick and install from there.

think you may need to boot to safe mode and run the disk checking tool from disk management.

then reinstall the driver.
