I am about to be given an IPad - lucky me. I presume that there is no point in going for the 4g version as Europe isn't going to have 4g for the foreseeable future. Also is there any point in going for the 32GB version? If one is storing photos which may be up to 4/500kb in size that only allows for 64 photos or is my arithmetic wrong?

Your Mathis is way wrong.
For a 8MP camera: 16,840 high quality JPEGs @ 1.9MB/picture (approx.)
For a 10MP camera: 14,540 high quality JPEGs @ 2.2MB/picture (approx.)
For a 12MP camera: 12,790 high quality JPEGs @ 2.5MB/picture (approx.)

If this site used a proper forum setup like vbulletin we would have a edit facility.

You are a star. And to think I read maths (amongst other things) at University (but that was a long time ago!)
