Windows Live Mail contacts problem

Contacts have disappeared! When I click on 'Contacts' nothing happens - it doesn't go to the contacts folder. I can select Mail (and that works ok) and I can select Calendar and that works ok, but I cannot select Contacts. However, if I choose add to Contacts' in an email then I can see my contacts - so I know that they still Most frustrating - has anyone out there got any ideas on how to fix this?
