changing aol's free wireless router to ....

Hey guys & gals, Does anyone know if i can just change basic free huwei hg521 router to a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless Router. Only my son uses his xbox, i'm downstairs on the laptop and he's moaning that he's lagging lol..so the above is a better router than the basic one i'm running now, so just wanted to know if i could just change over without any hitches, thanks in advance Paula

Possibly changing the wireless broadcasting channel might make a difference?

Link. Try channel 9. If still no good have a play with other channels.

If you can log on to the huwei router then copy down all the settings for AOL.

You'll still need all the info to set up the belkin so find out the settings via AOLs help page, or the router you have, and set it up manually. If the router has an "auto" tab for broadcasting then select this first.
