How can I make a page of text bigger with minimal borders in Adobe Reader 8?

Recently, I downloaded this fantastic book about Islam (it was a free download by the way). The book opened easily in Adobe Reader 8. However, there is one small problem. When I print any page from this book, I end up with a page with very large borders (top, bottom and sides) with the particular text (in small font) sitting in the centre of the page. I am middle-aged and my eyes are not what they used to be and reading this small text is a real strain. Does anyone know how to expand any page of text so that it occupies ideally the entire page with minimal borders? BTW, am I using the best program for this (i.e., Adobe Reader 8) or is there a better program out there for this purpose? Any information given is greatly appreciated.

At the moment, I've fell out with Religion.

As to the PDFs, from this Adobe Reader 8 User Guide, Page 124

"Options in the Print dialog box

Fit To Printable Area Reduces or enlarges each page to fit the printable area of the currently selected paper size."

You could try Version X Click here
