Protect email address from spammers

I started by using http://scr.im/about/, but that seemed to get hijacked and folks were getting smut. Is there another way to prevent an email address on a website from being harvested, please?

NO. I have used several ways to avoid the problem but if you publish the email address it will attract spam, all you can do it to filter the in-coming emails or get them redirected at source.

You could use Symantic Hosted email info or the one I use

Mask the email address by making it a hyperlink. It cannot be 'read' off the page that way.

Publish it as an image or use a simple javascript. Both will stop bots but not humans.

Thanks for the replies so far. I can't change the email addresses as they are well known charities.
