Netgear Router incorrect date

I have a Netgear DGN2000 router and the trafic meter is showing date of 24 August 1992 instead of current date. There is no manual access to correct the date. The time zone is set to correct UK location. Any ideas as to what caused this and how to correct it?

My mother's Netgear 834GT had the same problem. I just used another NTP server in the Schedule option. I used 95.150.140.150

Thanks for all your responses. I finally resolved problem by logging in to router basic settings and clicking on the "TEST" button at bottom of page. This reset to the correct current date.
