Windows license expired?

On startup my second computer shows a message - "Your Windows License has expired. To continue using Windows please renew" What's going on?

Check Date/Time on 'second computer', perhaps needs new CMOS battery.

Yes it can expire if it is not activated within 30 days.

but agree, check time and date and see if new CMOS battery is required if its an old machine.

Computer is 5 years old. Anyway sfter a damn good thrashing it's now working perfectly. Thanks for the replies..........especially to onthelimit1...!
