updating the registry

Running Windows 7

After I open software entitled Art Explosion, Greeting Card Factory Deluxe, I get this message "Failed to Update the System Registry, Please try using REGEDIT". I have used this progamme for a number of years without getting this message and I don't know how to update the registry.

Just try a straight-forward System Restore back to when all was OK.

Hello Nontek, I don't want to use system restore as it will remove some programmes which I would prefer to keep. I've just tried the programme and if I ignore the message it seems to run ok. Could it be a compatibility problem with Windows 7? it is a fairly old programme.
