Inkjet Cartridges - Original or Compatible

I have a stand alone Canon iP4300 printer. I have always used original Canon cartridges but even on a VAT free site these have gone up to nearly £12 each (takes 5). Printer is about three years old.

Can I please have your views on whether or not to go with the much cheaper compatible cartridges.

I second the Jettec recommend and the poor experiences of compatables generally with my Epson. Interestingly supermarket own brands (certainly for Epson) do seem to be Jettecs in disguise as the Jettecs are very distinctive. I have used these on occasion with no problems.

ASDA also sells compatibles. So does Tesco. I found ASDA reasonable.

Sorry Taff - just gone back to your original posting and found the link to Jet-tec cartridges. This one is going to get serious consideration. Will wait to see what the cartridges are like from More Ink - at the price I am having my doubts.

I haave used compatibles for over 15 years for both Epsom and my present Brother printer. I since I found Internet Ink http://www.internet-ink.co.uk/?gclid=CJ2YxKC_jq8CFWohtAodLwiEzw I have never had a problem, the cartridges for my printer have twice the quantity of the "originals" and if you put "Giveme 10" in the discount box on the ordering page you will get a 10% discount.
