Hi after giving my Laptop a clean install the only problem I have is with Skype.

Tried several times it down loads but wont open correctly. I have tried the latest version and 5.5 but still wont open correctly. each time I delete skype I use Revo uninstaller.

clicking on the icon or in programs all I get is a blue screen with a cloud it has, Skype Tools and Help. In help I can log into my account but the Icon in the tray says not logged on.

In Tools the box is ticked for Ports 80 and 443.

I have switched the fire wall off and it makes no difference.

Tried down loading with IE and FF

Its worked OK for the past three years and its working on my desktop now so no problems with Skyp in its self

OS Vista

The latest version is 5.8.0.158 - try downloading from different sites - it may be the download that is at fault.
