'This computer must be connected to the internet to install...'

Hi there,

My broadband conncetion is running fine apart from problems when attempting to access my connection via Windows Media Player and .exe installation files.

I receive messages such as 'This computer must be connected to the internet to install (program)'.

I have tried temporarily disabling my anti-virus/firewall to no avail.

Any ideas how I can configure my system to overcome this would be much appreciated!

Have you tried putting them on the 'Allowed' list of programs (given permission) that are allowed to access Internet.
