hi i have pc with outlook which has a large .pst file +8gb. i need to be able to look at my emails when away but don't want to take laptop. i have an ipad. so, is it possible to get my emails on ipad via imap without downloading ALL of the 8gb+ of emails i have on imap server. But if i choose to download all of the 8gb is this possible. even better can i search emails online and choose which one i want to download.

thanks for any help

I have an imap account and an iPad. The default mail setting on the iPad is to only show the newest 50 emails and it doesn't download the rest unless you are searching for one. You could also use web mail.
