Sony Vaio CPU at 100%

Hi I have a Sony Vaio PCV-V1/G. When connected to the Internet the task manager shows the CPU to be at 100% and the screen keeps locking. I have used Microsofts latest "fix it" programme to remove some add ons etc but it has made no difference. The C drive is currently 95% full and the computer has 1GB RAM. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

Your problem could easily be the lack of space on the HDD especially with limited RAM as Windows is probably trying to run the indexing service and to use some HDD space as memory.
You should try to free up some HDD space, but really you need a larger HDD and probably more RAM.

You need to clear some space on the C drive at least 20%
