I'd like some advice please. Although I can pretty much 'find my way' around a computer to do what I need to do, I'm not so clever on all the 'techy' stuff. My question is this: Can I easily transfer files, data etc. from my existing pc onto a new 'shop bought' one? My existing OS is Vista, new OS Windows 7. I'd hate to get a 'computer guy' in when you guys can help just as well. And I won't get ripped off! Thanks in advance.

Transferring your personal files, data and so on is pretty straightforward - usually just a question of copying the files to an interim device, and then copying from that to your new PC. However, programs can't be copied - they'll need to be reinstalled.
