If there are no yellow conflict signs then leave alone unless you want to update something like a graphics card to possible enhance any game playing.

I've been using Driver Detective! Completely ruined my computer, had numerous BSOD's. Won't touch DD now

I have used Drivermax free version for 3 pcs now and it has never gave me a bad driver yet, although i have to say that you dont always need to update a working driver.

Is this an external card reader connected by USB? It shouldn't need drivers. Make and model of reader? Try a different port.

if you really need a driver go to the manufacturers site not a 3rd party site.

I ran a similar scan (Ashampoo I think it was) which told me that most of the drivers on my system were "ancient". I was tempted to follow the update program offered (at a price!) - but having read the responses above, I'm sure glad I didn't!

Thanks for your post sanilash!

Hi sanilash,

Download and extract the latest drivers direct from the hardware maker. Drivers from the manufacturer are best but other options exist too.

You could also update drivers from Windows Update or from a hardware installation disc but updating manually (as described below) is usually the better way to go.

Thanks | See if this helps

RobartGl, I see you have registered again, with an abbreviated user name of your last handle (RobartGilbert) and are attempting to post spam again (when you sort out how to post the links properly)

FE deleted all your other spam posts, re-registering with a change of name will not stop you being reported.
