When starting up Windows 7 recently I find that the time/date bear no resemblance to the actual time /date & has to be reset every time. Any ideas why this is occurring ?

Usually the CMOS battery needing replaced. If it just changes by 1 hour you could have it set to the wrong time zone.or check that it is the proper date and time set in the Bios.
