SAS stops working

When I run SAS free it encouters a problem and stops. No solution is suggested. I use win7 home premium. SAS works fine in safe mode. Can anyone suggest a remedy?

I had the same problem recently with SAS (Win 7 Pro 64bit) kept stopping. Event Viewer regularly showed it as "hanging" as did CCleaner (Registry Cleaner) I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and it was still causing the same problems. I also was of the opinion that it was affecting other programs and in the end I removed it. There was an immediate improvement and things have run a lot better without it.

I don't know the cause and I can't suggest a remedy.
