I have purchased a new Pavilion dv6 Laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on which I am running Virtual Acorn RiscPC StrongArm Adjust. With all the other PC,s I have owned and upon which I have run VA I have been able to use the F3 key to "Save" instead of clicking over the "save" icon. This F3 key is also used on my real Acorn Risc PC. My question is how can I get my Laptop to do this when running VA , because the key is programmed (by Windows ?) to increase the brightness of the screen? However, thankfully the F12 + Shift + CTRl function as normal to shut down VA.(again as you would on a real Acorn RiscPC. I have spoken to HP and they do not appear to have an answer except to say they they do not support the Virtual Acorn programme.

If I recall correctly, you first need to hold down the FN key (bottom left). That'll make the F keys operate like you expect them to.

Why couldn,t HP have given me the answer! Probably because you got someone who either didn't know or couldn't be bothered or they were not willing to part with the information without payment.
