I have just been given a new keyboard and mouse and they dont seem to be recognised, i have an old Genius keyboard and a PC Line optical mouse, any answers please windows XP Home edition, Nutty norm

There is nothing in the box just keyboard and mouse , i assumed it was a plug and play devise, what are device drivers, Nutty norm

You shouldn't need any additional driver for the mouse -

You dont need to install drivers, its plug-and-play, Do this.. 1 start 2 right click computer 3 manage 4 click device manger 5 expand on pointing devices 6 right click your mouse > uninstall Finally restart your computer, then plug the mouse back in - windows should find a generic driver.
