Windows 7 Product Key number **Help required**

Hi all

Sorry to bother you I was just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to advise me on how to get hold of my product key number off my laptop. I have the sticker underneath but due to general useage there are 2 to 3 digits that I cant make out on it. Does anyone know please

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unless you have had at some time a re-installation of W7 using the key from the base which requires Activation -

Be aware that if there is a sticker with product key on base of laptop you have a 'factory pre-activated' W7 installation the key that is on your laptop will not be the same key that is on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop. Also the pre-activated key cannot be used to reinstall.

What make and model is your laptop? You should have some means of making a set of Recovery DVD's to use to reinstall.
