Tried to contact FE over this last posting, http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/29/windows-8/4096847/anyone-know-release-date-for-w8/
And nothing I try gets the link to open.

mooly
That link was available yesterday when I posted.
The Contact us Link has now gone.
That means that I have one less e-mail contact except myself of course. But I won't get much sense out of him.

Hi buteman, these links are confusing. I tried the "contact FE link" (at the top of this thread) again when I posted yesterday around mid-day and it didn't do anything then. It does now though.
I still see a "contact us" link at the bottom of this page above the very large IDG logo and that seems to work.
Just wondering which answer to tick :) 'cos it was more of a discussion really, or shall we let a run a bit longer !

Yes but the Contact us at the bottom the Fe has removed his name so it can only be done by contact FE at the top now.
Not sure why they would remove the quick way but no doubt there will be a reason for it.
I suppose after 6 years or whatever he just wants to put his feet up on the desk, drink his Coffee. And eat his cream cakes without getting bothered with so many e-mails.
I might take up fishing I am getting quite good at it.
