Is 'The Destroyer' good for what I need ?

OK, I have decided after an irritating month of exams and decision making that I am no longer going to build my own PC and I'm not going to customize one on PC Specialist because it's expensive but instead I am going to order one off Novatech because it has had some good reviews and people on this website say they are good. My question is, is the Destroyer good for what I want to play? The first gaming I am going to buy is Batman Arkham City and then I am going to get Dungeon Defenders (Great game by the way) and I hope to purchase Saints Row The Third in the near future. While playing these sorts of games I will be recording with FRAPS to edit and upload videos to youtube. Is this the computer for doing all that (not at the same time of course :P) ?

The problem with a striped raid is that whilst it gives a performance increase it has no redundancy. If one drive fails you have lost all your data.

Raid5 which requires at least 3 drives gives the speed of a striped raid and the redundancy. Lose one drive and the data can be rebuilt on a new drive from the other two.

Destroyer got the best graphics card the other tw no so good to put it kindly. I'll let others suggest as I build my own and to be honest I would not have any of them. I think you can do better for the price.

Try something here perhaps,PC. or the two that Woolwell suggested.

Do I need SLI or CROSSFIRE ?

Just curious, what has made you change your mind from building it yourself to buying a pre-built machine?

If you're a student, you will be able to buy Windows at the reduced price of £40 from Software4Students.

You don't need SLI, although it will obviously give your computer a lot more graphical power if you do choose to get it. If you're undecided then I'd recommend getting a motherboard that supports SLI (and a adequate PSU), but only getting the one graphics card for now and seeing how it performs. Then if you're unhappy with the performance you can easily add a second.

Do I need SLI or Crossfire? The short answer is no, in any event one decent graphics card is usually a better option.

Kk. Thanks for the feedback and help :)

The reason I changed my mind is because the stuff I had selected on amazon was more expensive and I'd rather just get my PC on the doorstep, plug it in and start gaming :P

Also, I'd rather start off with a pre-built PC and add different bits and pieces myself over time. I know it isn't really hard to build your own PC but I didn't because I want to wait until I'm more confident with handling PCs myself until I start changing the hardware. So basically I'm getting a pre-built PC and adding my own stuff over time :)

It is not a bad rig, I think for that sort of dosh I would like a better quality case but it will play all your games at very high settings I would think.

Not to keen on striped array or normally called Raid 0,a bit of reading here:Raid.
