I would be obliged if anyone who uses the programs Advanced System Care 5 or System Mechanic Pro could tell me if either of these programs has an anti-virus element incorporated in them or would I need to install say AVG as an extra.

Advanced System Care - No. System Mechnic Pro - Yes.
