Links not opening

When I click an email link, instead of opening, a tab appears bottom of my Firefox page. If I then click the tab the link opens. Can anyone tell me how to revert back to opening without clicking the tab?

Maybe the links are broken. Try to check if the links are correct.

Ok thanks zelnik, just disabled all the add-ons and it seems ok....I'll reconnect them one by one.
