Movies on TV via network

I want to watch movies on my TV that have been downloaded to my PC from a subscription service. It would be nice to be able to access Iplayer and similar.
The distance from the PC to the TV is too great for wireless (its a rambling old house......)so I am looking to wire up connection required.I presume an ethernet cable to a streamer ?
What do forum members recommend ??? Any help would greatly appreciated

You could try powerline Ethernet. Type in powerline on the search engine of your choice and look at the results. It is a system that allows you to utilise the mains power sockets in every room to transmit the network signal. I have used it successfully for a few years now.
