How to use laptop on television wirelessly?

Any ideas how I can transmit what I see on my laptop screen to my television? It would be handy to be able to watch iplayer, 4od etc on my television. I know how to do it with cables but how can I do it without wires? My tv is pretty basic with only 1 scart socket.

I'd tend to agree with Chronus. You can get a SCART to wireless converter - but then you'd need to be able to transmit to that converter, and I'm not sure how you'd do that. The only way I know you can do it is if both your TV and your laptop are connected to your home network - but for that, your TV would need to support a LAN interface, which only more recent TVs do.
