So far I've figured out I want an intel i7 2600k - As well as all the gaming I plan to do, I do a lot of video editing and rendering which is why I want it. I don't know if the slightly more expensive L3 cache one makes a lot of difference? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Sandybridge-i7-2600K-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B004FA8NOQ/ref=sr11?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1326733654&sr=1-1

I'm also going for the AMD 7970, I was going for an NVIDIA GTX but the AMD 7970 seemed less costly and runs a lot better. Although I hear they are bringing out a whole load of 7 series ones, (or whatever they're called) in the next few weeks. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-Radeon-Graphics-GDDR5-PCI-Express/dp/B006TQS3QM/ref=sr11?ie=UTF8&qid=1326732559&sr=8-1

Being a noob I'm not sure about cases. I want something with space so that I could upgrade in the future. I don't want it to be really basic looking, but nothing flashy, a nice see through panel or something.

I know nothing about cooling, but it seems like liquid cooling is a hassle, and there's not much point.

I don't know what MOBO I need either. I got told it needs a 1155 or something...

I also plan on getting 2 monitors or maybe even 3 down the line - how does this affect the cpu, gpu, mobo, what have you? Could the 7970 handle 2 or 3 monitors by itself?
