External Hard Drive to Internal......Appears in BIOS but not my Computer?

I have opened my external Western Digital Hard drive and have installed it SATA to my pc, It appears in the bios but not my computer....how do i sort this? i have downloaded a pc utility from WD and its approved that the HD is working correctly.

You need to partition it and format it for it to be shown in My Computer. If Windows 7 go to Computer Right Click then click on Manage Click 'Disk Management' You should see your drive. It will probably say unallocated . Right click on the unallocated drive, and choose 'New Simple Volume' Choose what format you want it and let it format.

If it has data on it you need then do not format it.
try just allocating a drive letter.
