Hi. When using PC, i am continually being interupted by the screen on my monitor - HANNS-G - turning black for a second or two, with the message ADJUSTING. The computer itself continues to work during the "BLACKOUT" ---I am able to continue typing this message during these blackouts. The monitor is around 6 years old. Any suggestions please, or is it a simple case of the monitor dying a slow death? My OS windows XP. Thank you.

Check all connections between PC and monitor to see if they are tight and/or you could try another cable if you have a spare. You could also check your display settings in Control Panel. In Win7 they are accessed via Display - Advanced Settings - Adjust Resolution (properties) - Screen Refresh Rate. You should find something similar to that for XP. Adjust the Refresh Rate - Apply - OK to see if that makes any difference.

Hi N61 Ref.1. Open Display in Control Panel. 2. On the Settings tab, under Screen resolution, drag the slider, and then click Apply. "THERE IS NO SETTINGS TAB ???????
Note
• To open Display, click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
"THERE IS NO APPEARANCES AND THEMES ???????????????
I note at the top it says Windows XP PROFFESSIONAL....I Presume XP hOME EDITION is different ???
Regards RP
