Unable to access folders

Using XP Professional I’ve set up a small network between two computers. I can see and access all the shared files of the main computer from the second computer but am unable to do the reverse. The folder icons of the main computer on the second computer are in their customary yellow colour but the icons of the second computer on the main computer are basic and nondescript and won't allow access. What am I doing wrong please?

Have you made sure that you have enabled printer and file sharing on both computers? Have a look at this article which may help.
