Keyboard Compatibility Advice Please

Hi. I am shortly looking to buy my first ever PC (at 53!) and I need some advice regarding keyboard compatibility please.??Now my simple mind assumed that any keyboard would pretty much work with any PC, but is this in fact the case? I specifically want the HP Standard keyboard to partner a Lenovo Edge 71 series PC, but there seems to be a variety of these keyboards all looking exactly the same with no discernible difference in the specs to my eyes. Will any of these work with the Lenovo? Many thanks for your time.

Are you sure that a keyboard is not already part of the deal?

Many suppliers treat you to a keyboard and mouse as part of the deal, whereas monitor and software are not.

Wired keyboards are all USB now, so will work with any PC. Wireless ones generally use USB also for the transmitter. But, as Diemmess says, they're usually included.

Thanks for the replies.??I've used countless different types of keyboards at work over the years and the HP just "works" for me. It is a keyboard which I can use blindfold, and is now very much an extension of myself which is why I want to continue using one for my home use.
