Ipod Nano 1st Gen recall/replacement program

This is just a heads up really for anybody that might have a first gen nano hidden away somewhere, Apple are recalling certain 1st gen nanos, due to a potential fire hazard with the battery.

Apple.

Apple will send you a box with shipping instructions to mail your iPod nano to us. Apple will then send you a replacement iPod. All you need to do is enter the serial number to see if it eligible for replacement.

Why is this a bargain I hear you cry, well there are reports of people getting 8GB 6th Gen nanos as replacements, but even if you don't you'd still get a fully refurbished 1st gen.

Seemingly folks have been picking them up cheap on eBay and sending them in.

So have a rake around your cupboards etc.
