Laptop wont even turn on- No light, no anything.

Hi, My brother's son has a Zoostorm Model no: Kangaroo VME50 that runs/ran Windows 7. He has asked me to try and get it working for him. There was no sign of life so i ordered a replacement power supply for him. This has arrived and still the laptop doesn't even show any signs of life.

One thing i should add is that there is something rattling about in the laptop.

I have checked the Ram and re-seated it.

Please can i have some advice about what to do next?

  1. Turn off the computer,
  2. Take the battery out
  3. Take out the power supply
  4. Push the power button down for 30 seconds.
  5. Reconnect power supply
  6. Try on mains only

I think you will need to open it up and find out what is rattling
