Laptop opinions

Hi I'm looking for opinions on the below laptops.

http://www.johnlewis.com/231395883/Product.aspx https://www.simplyacer.com/AcerAspire5750_1114404.html

Q. Does the difference in Intel Pentium processor/Intel® Core™ i5 make a great deal of difference?

My requirements are for general web browsing and MS office use - nothing extravagant.

Thanks

Unfortunately your Acer link brings up the wrong page I am thinking. But even without seeing the alternative I would be more inclined to buy from John Lewis as their customer service, should anything go wrong,is excellent.

Your links

Acer

Toshiba

Acer better CPU, bigger hard drive

Toshiba better battery life, more RAM, 2 year free guarantee, slightly cheaper.

Personally I would go for the Toshiba as the RAM will make up for the processor speed and I feel that the build quality of the Toshiba is somewhat better + as has been said John Lewis has an excellent after sales service reputation.
