I have an intel i5 PC with 2 harddrives and I would like to add a mid range graphics card.

It terms of power supply what is the minimum i need? I currently have a 400watt PS.

Dependant on your choice of GPU your current PSU would probably be fine. I personally will not use anything less than decent 500W on my desktops, lower obviously for my HTPC.

What card are you thinking of? You can use something like this to estimate power needs. Power estimate.
