Kindle and PDF files

I have purchased the new Kindle and am in general very happy with it. However I am trying to put some PDF files on there for viewing my work stuff. I don't seem to be having any success with that side of it.

I tried to put them on directly without success and because I use PDF-viewer for my files and not acrobat they would not work.

I then download my files to acrobat on line and transferred them back to the computer separately as acrobat file and tried again. Without success. Has anyone had the same problems or is it just me?

The Kindle is the new small one for £89 by the way

"It worked for me, but it does not handle PDF's very well"

PDF files do not convert well.

You will get best results by just putting the PDF file into Kindle documents folder.

Calibre is good to convert Epub files to Mobi for use in Kindle.

QuizMan pdf's with lots of graphics in are very slow. That explains why I had to wait for pages to load, it was a pdf manual that had lots of diagrams. Had no trouble with just 'text' pdfs.

steve263000 I just 'drag and drop' or 'copy to' the Documents folder on the kindle - as ton says.

Certainly isn't a problem as Kindle just appears on pc as another drive when connected with the usb cable and charging up the battery. Note you don't have the Kindle switched on when you do this, although when you plug it in the screen does display pic of usb connector and a message.
